Ultra-nationalistic Singaporeans will probably be offended by this MTV

While the rest of us can have a good laugh at the video.

This MTV probably sets the PR grunt work done by STB and EDB back by a few years.

While the Government champions Singapore as a safe and vibrant financial hub, the stereotype of Singapore being a straight-laced country with murky enforcement on chewing gum and a preference for caning is still used in the MTV.

The video is done by American YouTube channel Fung Brothers and is actually an advertisement for Ayam Brand.

But less serious and nationalistic Singaporeans would probably be glad that Singapore's YouTube cred got upped a notch.

Someone has got to tell the Fung Brothers that Char Kway Teow is not pronounced as 'Char Kway Two'.
