Sentosa's best kept secret is a spectacular 10,000 square meters of tranquility away from all the hustle and bustle of Resorts World.

Located at Equarius Hotel in Resorts World Sentosa, ESPA is a spa sanctuary like no other. I had a taste of this little haven this month.

Arriving at ESPA, I was warmly welcomed by Angela, the manager of ESPA. She introduced me to Anita, who kindly showed me around. I was blown away by their impeccable service, which focused on making me feel as comfortable as I could.

The scent of nature greets you as soon as you leave the reception. Knowing the busy nature of Singaporeans, we do need to be put in the mood to relax! The greenery and water features were calming and inviting.

ESPA is pure luxury - every little detail is designed with You in mind. From the crystal steam room to balance your senses to the ice shower to cool you down, ESPA is every reason and more to take the day off!

I got a pretty little wooden bracelet to help me remember my locker number! Lucky 204!

First, I tried out the Japanese onsen. It was beautiful, set against a backdrop of lush greenery and rocks.

Next up was the rock sauna. I personally loved the touch of natural sunlight and the relaxing view of the hot pool outside.

The crystal steam room uses amethyst crystals and steam to balance your senses. It was beautifully lighted in pink.

I proceeded to the tea lounge, facing the Japanese onsen, waiting for Anita and her spa treatments.

First up was the Turkish bath. Natural sunlight peeks through into a luxurious marbled interior.

Anita rinses me with warm water, using brass water bowls . It was so relaxing that I dozed off.

Next up was the aromatherapy massage. First, she lets you pick your favourite from a variety of scents, ranging from floral to citrus to woody. I chose floral. She then used some to fill the room with the scent, and for the aromatherapy massage.

With the dim lights, lingering floral scents, and the comfort of knowing you are in good hands, I dozed off again.

But not before the painful but essential rubbing out of the knots! It was painful alright, but you can let her know how you want it. If you are not one to enjoy the painful release of muscle tension, you can opt for a Balinese or Swedish massage, also available, or simply let her know you are more sensitive to pain.

After the massage, you can rest yourself at the relaxation room if you are not in a hurry for other appointments. Because you shouldn't! There are healthy snacks and cooling beverages available, magazines to read, and upon walking out onto the deck, a fish pond and lush greenery.

Sunflower seeds and raisins for guests!

I left the place reluctantly as I had dinner plans.

Everything is provided at ESPA, including a hair dryer and a spin-dry for your swimwear! The locker room has a dressing table and I just felt so pampered and well taken care of.

From the moment I stepped into ESPA, I was graciously hosted until the very end.

ESPA is definitely one of the most luxurious and well-equipped spas I have ever been to, perfect for the busy city dweller to take the day off to take the edge off and revitalise. Thank you again for having me!
