A Singaporean man and occasional Hong Lim Park protest organiser, Gilbert Goh, took to the Internet to complain about the dismal state of his love life.

In a rambling tirade riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, he laid out his case on behalf of other men supposedly like him and pointed to every conceivable fault he can come up with -- except stopping short of blaming himself.

Sorry, but who died and made you spokesman, again?

Nonetheless, as part of his pet theory as to why Singaporean men like himself are finding it hard to seek a mate, he blames his plight on several factors (in random order):

1. Dead-end jobs

2. The government

3. Singaporean women

4. Foreigners

5. Tertiary education, or lack of

6. Ambition

7. Poor conversation skills

8. Materialism

9. Career-driven mentality of women

But instead of taking things lying down, men and women responded.

And gave Gilbert Goh a piece of their mind.
