Ever since Hallyu ("Korean Wave") first arrived on our sunny shores a few years ago, Running Man has remained undoubtedly the most popular Korean variety show among Singaporeans.

The variety show consists of a seven-member strong cast, all possessing their own adorable monikers and personalities.

It has even inspired a local ripoff wannabe interpretation, but let’s spare ourselves the blushes today.

Here are 8 reasons why we’re truly madly deeply in love with Running Man (and intend to stay this way).

1. Singaporeans think they are getting exercise by watching other people run.

2. Quirky games you’d never have thought of

And wish you can play in them when you were young.

3. Besides running, you learn to dance.

Like Psy or a Chinese vampire.

4. You enjoy the drama and the sense of humour.

5. You wish you can channel your inner childishness into the characters.

6. Singaporeans are suckers for love stories - the most famous Korean export

The special on-air romance between the two casts - Gary and Ji Hyo - feels authentic.

And the viewers know that the guy has a real crush on her.

They really should be together right??

7. You appreciate the chemistry between the main casts

The cast have a members "family bond" and appear very comfortable with each other. Watching how the members interact is already more interesting than the latest Mediacorp variety show.

8. And how some Singaporeans can make money off this.

What's $26? Your love for Running Man is more than that.
